The Year of Living Frugally

This website was designed to document my one-year project to break my slavery chains to debt. I at first wanted to create a site dedicated to travel, since my most enjoyable times (and writing experiences) happen when I’m out exploring. However, debt and responsibility keep me from pursuing what I really enjoy in life – so why not write about eliminating those barriers?

Thus, “The Year of Living Frugally” began.

As I mentioned in the About page, I am running an experiment on myself – an experiment to step off of the debt/consumer merry-go-round (or is it bumper cars?).

Almost every post on this site could relate to this idea – but some posts more than others. There will be monthly budget updates to follow my progress on paying off the debt and saving money – in addition to specific research and/or projects to wean myself from the “teat of Mammon”.
